We’re undergoing some renovations in our office place, including building out a new front lobby display. The central creative theme is going to be built around the concept of a “six word story“. For those unfamiliar, Ernest Hemingway once wrote a story in just six words and is said to have called it his best work:
For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn.
As part of a contest, we’ve been asked to submit our own stories about anything: “These stories can tell something or nothing about you, they can talk about your pet goldfish, the sky is the limit - but they must be only six words.”
I thought that might also make for an interesting blog challenge. However, instead of a wide-open concept, I’d like to limit the story ideas to the Bible and/or Christianity. They can be stories from the Bible or Christianity, or stories about your relationship to them.
So post your “six word stories” here or on your own blogs. I’ll lead off:
ElShaddai. Just a Guy. Not God.

I am child of I Am.
Inundated with homework- I’m no scholar.

More I learn, less I know.
I am humble. No you’re not! (Did I cheat?)
Poor in spirit, blessed by God.
Body wasting away-spirit being renewed.
Seek Him diligently. Will find Him.
I did nothing. God chose me.
Seek Him first. Value the pearl.
World is bad. God is good.
You got me going. Can’t stop.
Accepted grace. Working out my salvation.
Fear and trembling. Time for Greek.
The kingdom is a present reality.
He lights it up for me.
